Within the framework of his Chair “Organizational Sustainability & Art”, Prof. Paul Shrivastava will present the project to the ICN Faculty members. It will deal with the development of a conceptual framework to establish the intellectual connection between the art and sustainable development of organizations as well as the development of an instrumental dimension allowing the design of tools in service of managerial practice of sustainable organizations.
About Paul SHRIVASTAVA
Dr. Paul Shrivastava , has a unique background that combines academic scholarship and teaching with significant entrepreneurial and senior management experience. Currently he is the David O'Brien Distinguished Professor of Sustainable Enterprise at the John Molson School of Business, Concordia University , Montreal . He also serves as Senior Advisor on sustainability at Bucknell University and the Indian Institute of Management-Shillong, India , and he serves on the Board of Trustees of DeSales University, Allentown , Pennsylvania . Dr. Shrivastava has over 25 years experience in management education, entrepreneurship, and as a consultant to major multinational corporations. He has launched several entrepreneurial ventures. Dr. Shrivastava received his Ph. D. from the University of Pittsburgh . He was tenured Associate Professor of Management at the Stern School of Business, New York University. He has published 15 books and over 100 articles in professional and scholarly journals and books. He has served on the editorial boards of leading management education journals including the Academy of Management Review , Asian Case Research Journal, Strategic Management Journal, Organization, Risk Management, Business Strategy and the Environment, International Journal of Sustainable Economy, and the International Journal of Sustainable Strategic Management. He won a Fulbright Senior Scholar Award and studied Japanese management while based at Kyoto University . His work has been featured in the Los Angeles Times, the Philadelphia Inquirer, the Christian Science Monitor, and on the McNeil-Lehrer News Hour. He is a consultant to numerous companies, co-organizer of the Steelman Triathlon races, (he is a certified USATriathlon Coach), and DJed a World Tango Music weekly radio show on WVBU 90.5FM Lewisburg , PA.
